Of corse you are, you are about to spend 700 dollars instead of going for the cheapest metal detector you can find! I took over areas that I knew the rebar was in and only 2" down and it would not register anything. For these purpose is excellent to estimate rebar deep and location but it is impossible to detect bars behind first layer of steel and specify number of bars when they are very close to each other.
